 At Collaborative Home Care, we want to be part of the care solution in helping those impacted by dementia with personalized care to help them to continue to live safely in their homes and to fill their emotional well-being tank everyday with meaningful activities.

Our caregivers receive specialized Alzheimer’s Care and Dementia Care training. That training goes beyond understanding how to deal with difficult behaviors and wandering challenges associated with dementia. We provide insight to help them understand the disease from the point of view of the person living with dementia. If you can understand how they see the world and their retained abilities, you can construct a personalized plan and implement care techniques that build trust and a personal connection between client and caregiver.

Determining the right approach to care starts with understanding the person living with dementia – their capabilities, personality, favorite memories and interests. During our no obligation, in-home consultation, we’ll ask questions to understand how far the disease has progressed and what types of activities the person can do. That allows us to develop a plan filled with activities that the person can participate in and feel good about. With your permission, we are happy to discuss the care plan with your current physician to ensure the approach aligns with their guidance.
